About Tree Action

Skilled, careful hands for every kind of tree work.

If you've got trees in need of a professional tune-up, you need qualified arborists who can handle the demands, challenges and hazards of the job. Maintaining trees requires someone passionate about what they do, and a skilled, careful hand.

Trees play a significant role in our lives, not just aesthetically but functionally. Healthy trees clean our air, keep our surroundings looking beautiful and can add value to a property through privacy and a pleasing outlook. Keeping them that way can become a challenge: they grow too large, their roots spread too far, or they branch out too close to power lines.

We like to think no job is ever too big or too small. We approach every job with skill and dedication, and it's by building trusting relationships with our clients that we get the results we do.

  • Our trained arborists have an eye for the finer details and take care to leave your site as clean and tidy as possible.
  • We treat clients with respect and make sure you've been listened to and understood.
  • We keep you informed as the job progresses, and complete it efficiently, competitively and to a high standard.

Tree Removal & Land Clearance

Tree Removal & Land Clearance

Diseased, oversized or problem trees removed safely, with care for nearby buildings, pipes and power lines.

Sometimes removal is the safest and best option for a tree that's becoming difficult to live with. It might be diseased, grown much too big, or all other maintenance avenues are exhausted.

Our arborists are skilled and equipped to remove trees of all shapes and sizes. All logs and debris are cleared promptly on completion, unless you'd like to keep the firewood.

Tree Pruning

Tree Pruning

Let the light in, improve your view and the health of your tree, including hard-to-reach and structural work.

Removal isn't always necessary, and some trees are protected by regulations. Professional pruning is one of the most straightforward ways to maintain a tree, and one that is often overlooked.

With the latest equipment and techniques, we specialise in hard-to-reach areas and parts of the tree that affect its structural integrity, and we leave your site as tidy as we found it.

Power Line Clearance

Power Line Clearance

Trees near lines on your property are your responsibility. We have the training and procedures to clear them safely.

Tall trees aren't always favourable when they grow towards power lines, and it's the owner's job to keep trees clear of them at all times.

Before you put yourself in a danger zone, talk to us. Our arborists use specialist techniques, equipment and training to carry out line clearance safely and precisely.

Stump Grinding

Stump Grinding

Unsightly stumps ground out with specialist machinery and the area reinstated to suit its surroundings.

Removing stumps is time-consuming work that needs specialist equipment. We'll grind the stump out and do our best to reinstate the area so it fits in with its surroundings.

If the tree is still standing, it's often best to plan removal and grinding together. We'll talk this through at the consultation so you get good value and a fast turnaround.

Hedge Trimming

Hedge Trimming

Residential and commercial hedges trimmed with an eye for straight lines, density and shape.

Hedging is a great way to landscape a garden and create a private boundary, but it takes work to keep it at its best.

From the smallest hedge to something large, we can improve density, bring it down for a better view or get it back into shape. Ask us about a regular maintenance schedule.

Mulch & Firewood Supply

Mulch & Firewood Supply

Quality mulch and firewood available for collection or delivery. Fill the woodshed before winter.

Mulch made from branches and leaves is an excellent alternative to plastic weed mat, and helps keep soil moist by reducing evaporation.

We also supply quality firewood. Contact us directly to place an order for mulch or firewood.

Power lines

Trees near power lines on your property are your responsibility. Clearing them safely is ours.

Testimonial

I have no hesitation in recommending Tree Action to anyone that wants their tree felling done with no fuss and at a very competitive price.

I want to thank the team at Tree Action for the excellent job in removing my large Norfolk Pine. The guys arrived on time and worked in a professional manner with no damage to my driveway or gardens. Nothing was a problem for them, and they even did a great job cleaning up the sawdust with a blower. My neighbours were so impressed they asked me for your contact details.

FAQs

Questions we’re often asked.

Can’t find what you’re looking for? Give us a call and we’ll talk it through.

Do you give free quotes?

Yes. All customers receive a free, no-obligation quote and consultation.

When is payment due?

Payment is due on completion of the job. We don't ask for any payment before work starts.

Are you insured?

Yes. We carry one million dollars of commercial liability insurance.

What happens to the mulch after my stump is removed?

The mulch from stump grinding is yours to use. It's great for garden beds, tree wells and compost. We don't haul it away.

What do you do with trees or chips you take away?

That's up to you. You can keep the chips yourself or have us remove them; either option is included in the quoted cost.

Can I keep my tree for firewood? Will you cut it into logs?

You're welcome to keep the trunk for firewood. If you'd like it cut into logs, let us know at the consultation and we'll add it to your quote.

Are there any protected trees on my property?

Some trees are protected by removal rules. We can share what we know, and your local council can provide more information.

A tree on my neighbour's property is affecting mine. What should I do?

Talk to your neighbour first. If that doesn't resolve it, contact your council. We can't work on trees that aren't on your property unless contracted by the council or the property owner.

If I cut some branches myself, will it reduce the cost?

Unlikely. We recommend having the whole job done professionally.

When is the best time of year to remove a tree?

We remove trees at any time of year, sunshine, wind or rain.

When is the best time of year to prune my trees?

Generally winter, while trees are dormant, though it depends on the species and the condition of the tree.

Can I add items to the job after it has been quoted?

Yes. Let the team know when they arrive and they'll organise the extra work where possible.
